A light box for illuminating small objects. We have in mind gemstones. Though any small samples can be lit, from leaves and insects to stamps and fabrics.
The obvious method of lighting a gemstone is to hold the gemstone (in a stone-holder) in one hand and hold a torch in the other hand, but you should also light it from underneath (which gives a totally different view). The easiest way to do this is to place it over the light source - on a light box.
The picture shows a large synthetic ruby. This is not included in the price.
Screen size, 36 X 36mm
Overall, 95 x 55mm.
Power: 2x AAA alkaline batteries (supplied).
